2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade Registration
*Please note: ALL documents attached to this page must be filled out in order for registration to be accepted.*
Welcome to BCE's registration page. Below is information regarding registration and will be updated periodically.
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Tuesday, May 27th. Registration will temporarily be closed May 28th and 29th. May 30th, completed registration packets will be accepted from 8-11 AM. Registration hours are from 8 AM- 2 PM, Monday- Thursday beginning: June 2-10th. Registration will resume from the hours of 8-2 PM July 14th-August 1st.
Please call the school to make sure the school counselor is available to accept registration. School office: 504-595-6620.
Students enrolled at BCPS do NOT need to re-register for 2nd grade; however, you must submit updated proof of residence to BCPS before rolling over. Students enrolled at BCES in 2nd-3rd grade do not need to re-register or submit proof of residence unless you have received a letter indicating otherwise. All 4th grade students going to BCMS for the 25-26 school year must register with BCMS.
*REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION:
1. Birth Certificate
2. Parent's Picture ID
3. Up-To-Date Immunization Records
4. Social Security Card
5. Final Report Card (if applicable)
6. DIBELS/LEAP Scores (if applicable)
7. Court ordered custody (if not the parent(s) listed on birth certificate)
8. THREE Proofs of Residency:
- Utility Bills: Electric, Gas, Water, Cable, and/or Phone
- Lease Agreement
- Mortgage Agreement
- Homestead Exemption
Important Notes Regarding Proofs of Residency
*Proof of residency must be in parent's name.
*PO Box addresses cannot be used as proof of residency
*Proof of residency must show a 911 physical address within Plaquemines.
*Proofs of residency must be current.
*Drivers license, car registration, or voter registration will not be accepted as a proof of residency.
*If you are unable to provide utility bills due to living with another family, a notarized affidavit, proofs in the other person's name, and substantial mail in the parent's name MUST BE PROVIDED.
*All required documents and completed registration forms below must be turned in together in order for registration to occur*
